Hello and welcome to my first blog post for my new website! I started this project to focus on a question many of us ask ourselves: is college worth it?
Investing in a college degree is one of the most important decisions you will ever make. If done poorly, it can be a disastrous financial decision. If done properly, it can lead to a very comfortable and even rich life.
Sadly, most of the advice given to fresh high school graduates and young adults under the age of 25 is useless, misleading, or cliched. I remember a handful of silly advice given to me by family members, friends, and coworkers.
Advice like, 'you’ll find out who you really are!' or 'you won’t get a good paying job without a degree!' The truth is college has nothing to do with finding out who you really are and yes, you can get a good paying job without a degree (maybe you already have).
The flipside is that you might be thinking, 'Mark Zuckerberg didn’t get a degree, and he turned out a billionaire!' You’re right and I thought the same thing, but Mark Zuckerberg went to Harvard for a few years. Harvard and other Ivy League schools are good at accepting students based on their likelihood to succeed. So most Ivy League students will succeed whether they get their degree or not.
The point is all this conflicting advice and evidence can make it really stressful when it comes to deciding whether college is a good fit for you. That is why I wrote an ebook called Should I Go To College?
This ebook is written for smart, intellectually curious individuals who are debating whether an undergraduate degree is worth it to them financially and personally.
In this ebook, you will learn:
This book is written in an in easy-to-read, straightforward manner. While there is some financial and mathematical terminology (that I ironically learned in college), it is written so that anyone who was a B student in high school and has the willingness to put some effort into it can use it to apply it to their own situation.
For $14.99 (the costs of three Starbucks’ drinks), you will get the answer to a question with consequences ranging in the hundreds of thousands!
